Woven Rainbow Road Trip Case

I had been wanting to make this for a while, but didn’t have the synapse power to work on more than one weavy project at a time. I opted for Lecien solids because of their light weight and high quality. I had seen a Pinterest project with rainbow on black and knew that this was the right project to give it a go. Omg was I stoked once I got going.

Once I had my trusty WEFTY Needle in hand, I started by laying out the 3/4″ rainbow strips before integrating the 1/3″ black. I wove both 3/4″ & 1/3″ black strips with the rainbow to create the perfect little squares of color.

When I had finally finished the exterior for my Noodlehead Road Trip Case, I was blown away. My plan is to keep all of my portable weavy supplies in here, but I have a feeling Helena might try to steal it.

Once I got to the part where it was time to put this bad boy together, I couldn’t contain myself!!!  Noodlehead definitely has a winner of her hands with this road trip case pattern. It’s pretty easy to follow and has me working with vinyl, which is always fun ?.

Tada!!!! The Road Trip Case was a complete success and I’m over the moon happy happy! These Lecien solids are insanely gorge and were the perfect choice for this project. I foresee more bags in my future. Bag making is most definitely rad.

Tada (part deux)! I totally didn’t realize my new weavy Road Trip Case was going to have so much pocket space!!! Seriously brava to Noodlehead because this pattern rocks socks! This Lecien rainbow will bring me a happy heart every time I open up this baby! Yayayay! Fun times.

Woop! Woop!  ?

I love this! The bright colours against the black look amazing. I would love to give it a try, but as hard as I study your photos, I cannot understand how you’ve woven the black strips! Please would you be able to explain in a bit more detail how this is done?

This is fabulous! The woven outer fabric is so very striking and I jut love how you’ve carried the rainbow through to the inside. I can see exactly why this would make your heart sing because if it were mine it would definitely bring a big smile to my face each and every time I used it.
