Woven Hexie Ornament: Aura Edition

Every time this part of the year comes, I always tell myself that I’m only going to make a couple ornaments. But then once I pop, I can’t stop Pringles-style, so yaaaaay for this Woven Hexie Ornament: Aura Edition. This one started with a Woven Stars Messenger Bag that my friend Tara made for my Aura Lookbook. When she told me the fabrics she wanted, I was like um okay because they weren’t fabrics I would have put together. But then when she was done, I was like holy wow that’s breathtaking. Seeeee….

And then as soon as I saw it, I knew that I was going to make at least one of my Woven Hexie Ornaments with the same combination. I used complimentary Wonderfil Ultima Thread to top-stitch the strips and then I got to weaving.

Like isn’t that a magical combination? I love how the Moa Loa Seabed print twinkles in the center of the Loulu Fans Sun print. And yes there’s a YouTube tutorial so that you can make your own. Seriously these are so much fun to make.

So let’s deck the halls and stuff and make our homes swagtastic with Woven Hexie Ornaments everywhere.
