How exciting to be part of this tour, like most people I was a fan of the blog, awe of the talent and delighted by Mister Domestic.

When he asked me to participate I was o overjoyed. The collection is whimsical, bright, fun and comfortable. You smile looking at the colors, shapes and familiar images.

I wanted to create a stuffed octopus using the Rita Van Tassel Studio esty pattern for my 12 year old. I used less stuffing so that it would be something less structured; so she could cuddle and sink into it lol. This is her favorite thing in her playroom. In this “new normal”of our world we realize that the world and experiences are our playroom.

I then wanted to create her a duster and used the Cambria Duster from Friday Pattern Company, the pattern allows me to color block and create a unique tween look. Her twin, Lila, even managed to get in on the Duster fun. The Playroom collection is fun, unique and charming I can’t wait to make my own octopus and duster, come jojn is in the fun.

Thank you Mathew again for seeing something in me and allowing me a chance to play with you and your vision.
