#SewPink Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative

Today is my official day in Patterns by Annie’s #SewPink Initiative and I think most folks actually finished a project. Not me. Today is the day I share my intention for the project and encourage you all to support this initiative. Both myself and the “Domestic” world are going through some changes. As a maker, I’d like to both stop building up a stash that I’ll never use and, instead, up-cycle where I can and bring in fresh if its needed. So this is my journey with this bag. The first “challenge” for myself to see if I can do hard things again and I’m super stoked to share this part of my journey with all of you. So check back in as I add to this blog post in real time. For now, it’s time to sort through my stack of aspirational jeans and get to making.

The #SewPink Initiative was created by ByAnnie.com LLC to raise awareness for breast cancer throughout the year. Our efforts culminate in an annual blog hop during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month to promote self-care, awareness, early detection and support for those affected by breast cancer.

This year we are again joining forces with Fat Quarter Shop to promote a fundraiser. Their goal of raising $20,000 to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

ByAnnie.com will match every dollar raised on the #SewPINK fundraising page.
